After visiting Prejmer and the other fortified churches between Brasov and Sighisoara, this one is undoubtedly the best. The church itself is not that impressive, but the fortress is well preserved and is hard to find anything of the like across Europe.
Don’t miss the top of the fortress; there are many stairs and rooms and it’s tricky to find the way to the top, but from there you get a view from the battlement and a walk under the roof. Most of the rooms are empty indeed, but it’s the huge amount of them that makes this site an eye opener.
