Cetatea Rupea, “A one of a kind medieval fortress”

After the recent restauration, the Rupea medieval fortress became probably the most interesting medieval fortress in Brasov county. Apart from the fact that is was built on a rocky hill starting some 800 years ago, it has three fortresses – the lower one, the middle one und the upper one in a concentric way. When all the chambers will be filled with documents objects and medieval furniture it will match some of the most attractive fortresses in Europe.
