Piatra Craiului: “Nature, wilderness, beautiful views” – mprica, Washington

We started from Zarnesti at 10 in the morning and went to Curmatura cottage, where we had lunch and from there to the Ascutit peak and then back. We arrived back in Zarnesti around 8 and from there to Bucharest(3 hour drive). The trail from Curmatura to the peak is difficult, it’s mostly on rocks so you need to have proper equipment and you have to be in good physical shape because the ascent is quite long. The view from the mountain ridge is superb. The ridge is quite narrow and you have abyss both ways so it’s not for the faint-hearted.
