Not only the Saxon fortified church but the lovely village itself is a must when you’re in the vicinity. The road to the settlement looks like a secret road to a dead end but the architecture and the mood of the village compensate. The whole village looks like the Saxons had left it yesterday (actually a few decades ago), most of the buildings were built in the 19th century or in the first quarter of the 20th.
